Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international nonprofit organization established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world’s forests, set standards, certification of sustainability and labeling of forest products (paper products).

Sustainable Forestry Initiative is non-profit charitable organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management in North America. Certifying the manufactures claim of sustainability & recycle content in their product

U.S. Green Building Council is a private non-profit organization that promotes cost efficient sustainability in how buildings are designed, built & operated. Via the LEED program it offers educational programs levels thru local & national chapters.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a rating program that provides third-party verification of buildings sustainability. They do not certify products but just rate the buildings sustainability on a 100 point basis system.

The California Green Lodging Program was developed by the State of California to provide travelers a green option for their lodging needs. Establishes certified sustainability criteria for a lodging property to be listed in Green Lodging Directory.
